What NSAIT does
NSAIT follows security events around the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe. We explain what happened and why it matters, in plain language.
What we cover
Our focus is the Baltic Sea region and Northern Europe, including NATO’s eastern flank. We also follow events further away when they affect this region.
How we work
We use open sources only: public posts on X, official statements and news reports. AI tools help us sort the signals and draft the text. Every update must be approved by a person before it goes live. We always say who reported something, and we say clearly when a claim is not yet confirmed.
What is free
The signal map, the NSAIT Daily newsletter and the Forces page are free. We also post updates on X at @nsait_desk.
What is paid
Organisations that need more depth can order AIR work: short briefs, deeper assessments or a monthly retainer. The AIR page lists the packages and prices.
The name
NSAIT stands for National Security Assessment & Artificial Intelligence Research Desk. Say it like “insight”.
